Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -A traffic wreck early Friday in south Rochester involved a fire hydrant that was sheared off.A traffic control light pole was also struck by the vehicle.

Police officers arrived to find the vehicle still there but no driver. The wreck happened around 4 a.m. at the intersection of South Broadway and 16th St near Graham Park and left the vehicle inoperable.

As of mid-morning Friday, police were trying to find the driver.

This was the third hit and run in the city this week. The other two drivers were caught.
