A cold front is forecast to affect the region tonight and the National Weather Service says conditions will be ripe for strong thunderstorms beginning this evening.

There is a possibility of severe weather from the storm system, with the main threat in areas along and south of I-90.  Forecasters say there is a potential for heavy rain, large hail, damaging winds and even isolated tornado activity.

The stormy weather is predicted to continue into Monday and forecasters say the 2 day rainfall totals could be in the 1-2 inch range.
