Yesterday, an early hint of spring graced Rochester and much of Minnesota. Here in the Med City, we actually tied the record for the highest temperature on March 8, hitting an unofficial high of 68 degrees. Other spots in Minnesota, including Winona and Minneapolis had temperatures reach the 70's. Whenever that first really warm day after "winter" hits, have you noticed all the "warm weather" activities that suddenly return? How long did you plot ways to leave work early yesterday? Or find reason possible to go to any kind of “meeting” away from the office? It’s amazing the ways you can come up with to get away and enjoy that first warm day.

I got an announcement from Dunn Brothers Coffee with information on their new spring drinks. And it was packed with iced coffee options. After all, who wants to drink hot coffee when the weather is this gosh-darn warm?

  • Pack the snow equipment away for the season

Fortunately, we didn’t have to use them too often this winter! Some of you positive thinkers out there probably spent the evening opening up the storage space for the snow blower. Maybe you even started up the lawnmower to make sure it’s still working? Or perhaps you tucked the snowmobiles into the back of the garage for the season. Saw a neighbor doing that after work yesterday...
