I think this may be Costco's first food item you can roll out of the store. It's a 72-pound wheel of Kirkland Signature Parmigiano Reggiano for $899.99 (shipping and handling included)! Believe it or not, that's a good deal.

Other retailers sell about the same size for twice that. Per pound, it works out to about $12.50. According to Market Watch, the whole thing'll make you about 2,160 servings of fancy mac and cheese.

Speaking of fancy, Costco has a pretty fancy description for the wheel o'cheese,

Kirkland Signature® Aged 24 Months Whole Wheel Parmigiano Reggiano is imported from Italy and made with the freshest milk from the famous Parma and Reggio Emilio provinces in Italy...This extravagant blend of old world cheese making and unrivaled quality fuse to create a delicate and savory rich full flavor that has made Parmigiano Reggiano world renowned and an immediate favorite to those who try it.

When's the last time you had extravagant cheese?
