Now that I've been here a year, this is the last time I'll be able to pull the "you look just like my sister" selfie routine. But it worked like a charm all over A Chair Affair!

A Chair Affair is described like this on the website: "A Chair Affair is the gala benefit fundraiser for Boys & Girls Club of Rochester. Proceeds from this event benefit BGCR's youth programs."

And that's what it does...but it is so much more than that. It's fun, it's delicious, there are a TON of amazing chairs for auction by some pretty amazing artisans. And it's also inspiring. Boys and Girls Clubs Ambassadors telling their stories is, hands down, the best part of the night. Every time.

Jodi Millerbernd, Boys and GIrls Club of Rochester Executive Director, sent out a thank you email and included this quote...from Rodnique, 2016 Female Teen Ambassador.

“Boys & Girls Club of Rochester is my home, and I wouldn’t trade my family for the world. Being looked upon as an awesome role model, to some of the younger hearts empowers me to fight for my happiness.”

See what I mean?

Oh, and with your generosity, Jodi says they were able to raise an estimated record breaking $374,000!! That's amazing...and all the money stays right here!

My second favorite part of the night is when I went around telling people, "You look just like my sister...can I take a picture with you???" Only a few said no...the rest were all "heck yeah!"

This is the last time I'll be able to pull this gag. The show is getting too popular, everyone's soon going to be onto my schtick, but it was fun, and a great way to meet a ton of awesome people! The lighting was kinda rough, sorry.

I TOLD THEM THEY LOOKED JUST LIKE MY SISTER
