Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce has issued an and advisory to its members concerning compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The advisory says a small group of individuals have been working with a group known as the Disability Support Alliance to actively seek out potential ADA violations and file federal lawsuits against businesses in Minnesota. The Chamber says the group currently has 44 active lawsuits filed in Minnesota and now appears to be targeting businesses in the Rochester area.

The business group’s advisory urges its members to be aware of their responsibilities under the law and take compliance with its provisions seriously.
