Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was hospitalized with a serious eye injury following a fight outside a downtown Rochester bar early Saturday morning. Rochester Police Capt. John Sherwin says the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. outside the Top Shots bar along South Broadway.

The 25-year-old victim told officers he was outside the bar talking to a group of people he did not know when one of them knocked him to the ground and kicked him in the head. He lost consciousness and suffered an eye injury that has left him without vision in one of his eyes.

His description of the assailant was fairly vague. He told police it was a 6-foot tall black man with dreadlocks wearing a red shirt.
