Attempted Bank Robbery in Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police are trying to track down a man who tried holding up a bank during the noon hour Wednesday.
Captain John Sherwin says the man walked into the US Bank outlet along East Circle Drive, a few blocks east of North Broadway around 12:30.
Sherwin says the man was wearing a sweatshirt with the hood pulled down when he handed a teller a note demanding money. When the woman turned away, the man fled on foot. Sherwin says he did not display a weapon.
He is described as black, tall and thin and was wearing a ballcap.
