Rochester MN (KROC AM News) - An Austin man is scheduled to be sentenced in March for an armed robbery at a liquor store in Eyota last fall.

28-year-old David Martinez entered guilty pleas to first-degree aggravated robbery, a felony drug offense, and a felony DWI charge in Olmsted County Court Tuesday morning. A fourth felony charge involving the possession of a sawed off shotgun was dismissed.

Martinez was arrested less than 15 minutes after the holdup at Buddy’s Liquor Store on October 22nd after local Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Dean Olson came upon him having car trouble near Dover and recognized the motorist as the robber from the description that was broadcast by the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department.

A woman in the car with Martinez told investigators she had no idea he had robbed the business.
