Undated (KROC AM News) - An area man was seriously injured Monday night in a traffic wreck on Highway 63 in Racine.

The State Patrol says a van driven by 56 year old David Heller of Stewartville was hit broadside by a semi-truck around 7:30. The Patrol says Heller was taken to St. Mary’s where he was reported in critical condition Tuesday morning. The Patrol says the semi-truck was headed south on Highway 63 when it hit Heller’s vehicle. The Texas man driving the truck was not hurt.

A Rochester man was seriously hurt around 5 p.m. Monday in a three vehicle wreck in Cambridge, north of the Twin Cities. The State Patrol says a car driven by 37 year old Michael Fisher swerved to avoid hitting a vehicle in front of him that had stopped as another car was waiting to turn into a driveway.  Fisher’s car then collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. The Cambridge man driving that car was also seriously hurt.

It was a deadly day on Minnesota roads Monday. The State Patrol says at least four people were killed in separate wrecks. There was also a fatal wreck Sunday night.
