Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department released a statement Monday afternoon indicating the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has tentatively identified the body recovered from a rural Rochester pond Sunday evening as 21-year-old William “Harry” Hempy. His body was discovered by a group of fishermen around 7 PM in a pond at a former gravel pit off East River Road, about a mile north of Foster Arend Park.
Hempy was a student at the University of Illinois and was home in Rochester for spring break when he was reported missing on March 25th.
