Roseville, MN (KROC AM News ) -  The Minnesota winner of Saturday’s second place prize in the Powerball drawing showed up at state lottery headquarters Monday to get his check. But before he went there, Joseph Woods called his boss to announce he was retiring.

The St Paul man actually retired as a bus driver for Metro Transit in 2007 but kept working on a part-time basis. Not anymore. His ticket matched the first five numbers to win the $1 million prize. He told the lottery staff he is looking forward to having more time to “enjoy the same things I've been doing!”

The state lottery says he bought the lucky ticket at at M & H Gas in St. Paul. This isn’t the first—or the largest—winning ticket sold at the store. Other notable winning tickets include a Powerball jackpot worth $61.1 million, a $130,000 Gopher 5 jackpot, a $100,000 winning Minnesota Millionaire Raffle ticket, a $100,000 winning scratch ticket and three Northstar Cash jackpot-winning tickets.
