Byron Boy Reports Stranger Offered Him a Ride
Byron, MN (KROC AM News) -The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report out of Byron involving a young boy.
The 9-year-old boy says he was looking for his lost dog around 6:30 Friday evening when a strange man stopped his truck. The boy says the man offered to help him look for the dog and told him to get into the truck. The boy says he ran home and told his mother, who called 911.
A spokesman says deputies were not able to locate the truck.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
The spokesman says it’s possible the stranger was trying to be helpful and meant no harm.
