Byron Man Gets Lucky – Twice

Roseville, MN  (KROC AM News) - A Byron man who bought a winning lottery ticket at an Oronoco convenience store earlier this year has done it again. Only this time, his winnings were much higher.

Jonathan Phelps went to the state lottery headquarters Thursday to claim the top prize in the $500,000 Jackpot game.

He bought the lucky ticket at the Oronoco Gas ‘N Go store - the same place he bought a ticket in the Big $10 Ticket scratch game in April that paid out $20,000.  
Phelps said he was able to become debt free with the first win, and now plans to help family and seek out a financial adviser to help plan his future.
