Byron Teen Died From Deadly Combination

The autopsy report in the death of a Byron teenager who was found dead in March after being reported missing two months earlier has been released.

Dodge County Sheriff Jim Jensen says it shows 15 year old Noah Graddy died from the combined effects of hypothermia and intoxication due to drugs. Jensen says the investigation remains open.

Graddy was reported missing in late January and Olmsted County authorities later described the circumstances of his disappearance as suspicious.

Graddy’s case was one three similar incidents involving Minnesota teenagers last winter. The first involved UMD student Alyssa Lommel. The 19 year old was dropped off by friends after a night of drinking in early December and apparently passed out before making it inside her home. She spent 9 hours in temperatures that dipped into the minus teens before she was found and nearly died. Doctors were later forced to amputate her fingers, her toes and parts of both feet.

The third incident happened about two weeks before Graddy’s body was discovered. 18 year old Michael Anyasike was at a party at a farmhouse home in southwest Minnesota that was attended by dozens of underage drinkers. He ran off on foot when police busted the party and was dead when found 12 hours later. Police later said the star high school football player was a victim of hypothermia with alcohol consumption as a contributing factor.
