Can You Spot The Problem?

I don't know Amy Schumer, but I would like to!  She's funny and seems like a down-to-earth kind of a person.  Sure she can be raunchy on occasion,   but I love how she calls out the ridiculousness of celebrity and beauty.

Amy shared this pic on Instagram earlier this week, giving parents everywhere something to think on for a bit.  I don't need to go on a rant about the double standard, but it did cause me to sigh.  As a parent, I'm discouraged by the continual uphill battle we're on to raise a teenage daughter who is more concerned about her future than how to 'wake up pretty.'  However I'm equally as sad for the message this sends to our pre-teen son about what the future young women in his life might find important.

The struggle is REAL, friends!
