Tonight is Celebrity Game Night on the Main Stage at Rochesterfest.   I am honored to once again be the emcee for the festivities.  Many years ago the late Denny Hanson, Rochester’s longtime City Council Chairperson, came up with the idea of Celebrity Game Night.   My wife Laurie and I have been involved with the event as chairpersons for many years.

The concept is simple.  Local celebrities from TV, radio, print media and other well-known community figures are paired up with audience members to match their skills for fun and prizes.  While the audience plays for actual prizes, celebrities compete for pride and the chance to take home the Denny Hanson Memorial Traveling Trophy.

Tonight’s celebrities include returning champion Jennifer Koskie (Rochester Magazine), Dan Litzinger (Rochester Honkers), Mark Bilderback (Rochester City Council), Samm Adams (KROC-KWWK radio) and Randy Brock (KTTC/Fox 47 meteorologist).   Games include team trivia, music games and silly physical challenges.   The fun starts around 7:45pm, right after the Concert Band plays.  Come on down to watch or play!
