Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man and woman were arrested Thursday night in connection with a reported assault and robbery in Chatfield.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office was contacted around 7:30 p.m. by a 56-year-old woman who said she had just been attacked in her residence at the Chosen Valley mobile home park.

The woman says 27-year-old Kayla Richards had contacted her earlier about retrieving some of her father’s property. He and the victim had a previous relationship.

The victim says Richards assaulted her a short while after she arrived and knocked her out. The victim says Richards was with 38-year-old Montez Ruth and the two left with the woman’s 40-inch TV and cellphone.

Rochester police officers were waiting for the two when they showed up at their residence and took them into custody. A spokesman says the officers found the TV and phone in their vehicle.

The victim was treated at the scene for her injuries.
