Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -  The Rochester City Council may seek new redevelopment proposals for the downtown site that is currently being looked at by Bloom International Realty.

The Council was scheduled to vote Monday night on a 6 month extension of an exclusive negotiating agreement with Bloom for the city owned property located on the west side of the Zumbro River between 2nd and 4th streets

The council approved a 6 month agreement with Bloom in May after being told the company is considering a major project at the site. That agreement was scheduled to expire this Friday.

The Council Monday night extended the agreement to December 21st, when it will again consider a 6 month extension with Bloom. But the council may also vote to open the negotiating process to other developers.

The council was told Monday night the Mortenson Construction company has interest in the site and there may be others.
