Dexter Man Sentenced in ‘Sleepwalking’ Sex Abuse Case
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A former Stewartville man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for molesting a juvenile girl and later apparently attempting to blame his actions on sleepwalking.
40-year-old Jonathan Jannsen of Dexter was found guilty of a first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge during a trial that ended in early July.
According to the criminal complaint, the abuse took place several times in the child’s bedroom. The girl told investigators Janssen talked to her later about the abuse and told her he “ sometimes sleepwalked “ and asked her if he had ever touched her while he was sleepwalking.
