Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Hayfield man has entered into a plea agreement in a case stemming from a head-on crash involving two dirt bikes last year.

25-year-old Jordan Bates today pleaded guilty to two counts of Criminal Vehicular Operation through a deal that resulted in the dismissal of 5 other charges, including 2 felonies.

Bates admitted he had been drinking before the dirt bike he was riding collided with a second dirt bike in a ditch at a property in Rock Dell Township around 1:30 a.m. on May 31st, 2014. Neither dirtbike had headlights. A man and woman on the other motorcycle suffered serious injuries in the crash.

Bates is scheduled to be sentenced December 9th.
