DMC Development Plan Revealed Today
The Destination Medical Center Corporation Board holds its final meeting of the year today and is scheduled to receive the latest development plan from consultants hired to come up a new vision for downtown Rochester.
Preliminary information presented at the board’s most recent meeting showed the establishment of 5 districts that call for the elimination of some buildings, an expanded Peace Plaza area and a streetcar system.
The Board is scheduled to act on the proposals next month and send its recommendations to the City Council.
Today’s meeting will be held at the Mayo Civic Center, beginning at 1:30. It will be open to the public. Live coverage will also be offered.
A community information session and reception will be held after the meeting, also at the Civic Center. It will run from 4 - 6 p.m.
