Ever Been Butt-Dialed at 3 AM?

I had my alarm set to go off early this morning, but I didn’t want to get up THIS early. My wife’s cellphone rang at around 3:30 this morning. It woke both of us up suddenly.   “Who is calling you at 3:30 in the morning?!?” I asked.  She answered it but no one was there.  When she checked the ID, the call came from a girlfriend of hers, the wife of one of my buddies.  After guessing that she was accidentally butt-dialed, my wife rolled over and went back to sleep.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to do the same.  My mind kept thinking.  Who butt-dials someone in the middle of the night?  Do people actually sleep with their phone in their pocket?  How does something like that even happen?  As I pondered the impossibility of the whole thing, I couldn’t fall back asleep so I just got up and started my day much earlier than I had planned.

When I relayed the story to my buddy this morning, he cracked up.  It seems that his wife likes to play a certain game on her phone when she goes to bed.  Apparently she fell asleep last night while playing the game and most likely rolled over on her phone and accidentally called my wife in the middle of the night.

Everyone had a good laugh about the whole thing.  I would have laughed too, but I was too busy yawning from a lack of sleep.
