Oronoco, MN (KROC AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal traffic wreck that happened Thursday night in Oronoco.  

The State Patrol says the deadly wreck happened just before 8 p.m. on northbound Highway 52.

The Patrol says a vehicle that was pulling a trailer was parked on the left shoulder of the highway. The driver of the vehicle was standing next to the trailer when a small SUV struck him and the trailer.

The preliminary report indicates the driver who was killed was a 65-year-old Rochester man. His 39-year-old son was listed as a passenger. He was not hurt. A 52-year-old St Paul man was driving the car that struck the victim. He was uninjured.

The names of those involved are expected to be released Friday morning.
