Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man who escaped from the Fillmore County Jail was captured late Tuesday afternoon in Rochester.

Fillmore County Sheriff Tom Kaase says 19-year-old Dylan Bathke was apprehended around 4:20 p.m. by Rochester Police Officers and members of the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team.

Jailers in Fillmore County discovered Bathke was missing from his cell at about 6 a.m. Tuesday. Sheriff Kaase says how he escaped remains under investigation. He says the department will review its policies and procedures, as well as the jail’s operations to make sure there are no future security breaches.

Bathke was arrested last month after he allegedly threatened two people with a gun and then led authorities on a high speed chase in a stolen vehicle, during which he rammed a law enforcement vehicle.
