Did you know that the very first song ever performed in outer space was "Jingle Bells"? It happened in December 1965 when the crew of Gemini 6 snuck a harmonica and string of bells on board. (Those instruments are now in The Smithsonian). They claimed to see a flying object leaving the North Pole and then broke out into song.

The story is well known but no recording of the song was ever made available...until now. As a holiday treat, you can hear the historic "first song ever in space" right here.
