Five Inches of Rain in Two Weeks!
Rainfall totals from the storm cells that moved through the region on Friday were generally in the ½ inch to 1 ½ inch range. The highest total reported to the Weather Service was nearly 2 ½ inches in Fillmore County.
Totals in Olmsted County were around half an inch although Oronoco received an inch and a half.
The official total at the Rochester airport through midnight was around 8-tenths of an inch. The city has now received nearly 5 inches in just the last two weeks, wiping out the moisture deficit that developed last month.
The August total is now 3/4ths of an inch above normal.
The total for the entire month of August last year was 1.8 inches.
