Brownville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A flood warning will remain in effect in portions of Fillmore and Houston counties in southeastern Minnesota through 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. The National Weather Service also issued the warning for portions of northeastern Iowa and southwestern Wisconsin to replace a flash flood warning that was posted earlier today after the region was hit by torrential rains.

Reports indicate numerous roads remain covered with water and debris from mudslides. The National Weather Service is reporting a newer home in Brownsville was heavily damaged when it was struck by some large boulders that broke loose from a nearby bluff.

Rainfall totals between three and four inches are common in the areas included in the flood warning, but some areas of Iowa and Wisconsin saw over five inches of rain and seven inches of rain was reported near Vernon Wisconsin.
