Foo Fighters Drummer in Rochester Today!

Well holy smokes! Taylor Hawkins, drummer for the Foo Fighters, is gonna be at Rochester's Riverside Central Elementary today to celebrate their recent infusion of the arts. 

According to KTTC,

Thursday’s visit will celebrate Riverside Central Elementary School’s recent infusion of the arts, as part of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities’ Turnaround Arts program.

I've always been a huge proponent of the arts in schools because it helps students view life from a different perspective. Created by their own hands and minds, or experiencing the work of others can take a person out of themselves, and step back, look at the subject from all the angles.

And music? I don't know anyone alive that doesn't have a song or an artist that changed them.

So, kudos Riverside Central...finding a way to mix the arts into everything you do? That is huge and I am so glad to see this come your way. Plus the student will have a blast!
