Former Rochester Business and Community Leader Has Died

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A memorial service will be held this weekend for a well-known former Rochester businessman and community leader who died last week at his home in South Carolina. Nate Johnson was 52 years old.According to his obituary, the 1983 graduate of Mayo High School was involved in starting a number of local businesses and launching the Rochester Area Chamber of Congress Leadership Program. That included his involvement in the creation of the Miracle Field and other community projects.

Johnson moved to South Carolina several years ago, where he continued working in the real estate industry.

The memorial service will be held at the Macken Funeral Home River Park Chapel at 1 p.m. Saturday, following the visitation beginning at 11 a.m.
