Golden Valley, MN (Learfield)  --  General Mills reports it will cut up to 600 jobs as a part of its restructuring, though it isn't clear how many of those jobs will be at the company's Minnesota headquarters.

The Golden Valley-based company says it is trying to reduce its operating costs.

The position of international chief operating officer is being eliminated after Christopher O'Leary leaves at the end of this month.

About three-thousand people work at the company's corporate campus in the Twin Cities.  It has a total workforce of about 40-thousand.
