Remember when the Giant Red Ball was in Rochester this past June? Many people posed for pictures with the ball during its week-long visit here.

Kurt Perschke's RedBall Project is a traveling public art project that has taken place all around the world. Recently the ball was in Toledo, Ohio and the people there got more than they bargained for when the giant red ball was literally blown away from the Toledo Museum of Art. High winds sent the 250 pound ball bouncing down the streets where it nailed just about everything in its path, including parked cars. (kind of gives new meaning to the term 'Holy Toledo!').

At times Rochester can be a very windy city (such as during the past weekend). Could you imagine what the streets of Rochester would have been like if the Giant Red Ball would have been blown around like a ping pong ball here?
