Go For The Gold

Mark your calendar and join me for the 23rd annual "Go For The Gold 5k Run/3k Family Fun Walk"!  It's coming up Saturday, June 14th 8:30 a.m. at the Silver Lake Swimming Pool.  All the proceeds raised benefit Brighter Tomorrows, a local outreach to families touched by childhood cancer.  As the father of a cancer survivor (Michael is now 14

years cancer free!), this is one of my favorite charities in town.  Plus, Shanna Decker (in the purple shirt) is one of my favorite people.  She's a cancer survivor herself, and she's been a great source of comfort for the many, many kids who've battled cancer here in the Med City.

There will be t-shirts given to the first 300 registrants, prizes awarded for the top pledge raisers including a weekend getaway to the Radisson Blue in Bloomington, plus I'll be there entertaining with my Med City Music.  Learn more at goforthegoldrochester.com !
