Golf Ball Lands In Fan’s Pocket

I’ve played a lot of golf in my time and my golf balls have ended up in many different places:  rough, sand, water, trees, plants, rocks and occasionally the fairway or even the green.   But I can honestly say I’ve never seen anyone hit a golf ball that ended up in someone’s pocket…until now.

The top-ranked golfer in the world, Rory McElroy hit a tee shot that went too far right and went into the gallery.  Somehow it landed in a spectator’s pocket.  The general rule of golf is that you must play the ball where it lands, but thankfully it didn’t apply here.  Rory got a free drop, play continued and that fan will have a story to tell forever.
