Good News – Dad Gets Tattoo Like Sons Brain Surgery Scar (Pictures)

Every weekday morning I do The Good News, an uplifting story that starts the day with a smile, or in this case, a tear of happiness. It's something a father did for his young son after the boy had brain surgery. 

The dad's name is Josh Marshall. He lives in Hutchinson, Kansas and his boy Gabriel needed brain surgery to get rid of a tumor.  The pictures are blowing up because, well...they're awesome.

Gabriel has anaplastic astrocytoma, which is a malignant brain tumor. The doctors couldn't get all the tumor, but dad says Gabriel is stable. But really self-conscious. So, he told BuzzFeed, "This broke my heart...I told him if people wanted to stare, they could stare at both of us."

Then Marshall entered his matching tattoo in the St. Baldrick's Best Bald Dad competition and won.

Gabriel says he and his dad are twins. Doesn't that just melt your heart?
