While APPLE is still the top dog in digital music sales, it is no longer the world’s most valuable brand.   CNBC says that “GOOGLE has leapfrogged APPLE to take the top spot in global ranking” which measures the value of the biggest brands in worldwide.

The report says that GOOLE saw a 40% year-on-year increase and is now worth up to $159 billion putting it on top of the annual BrandZ list of the 100 most-valuable global brands.  Meanwhile APPLE was knocked from the top after a three-year reign.  It’s value fell 20% to $148 billion.  A lack of new product launches was cited for a reason behind the drop.
