Albert Lea, MN  (KROC AM News) - A Freeborn County man charged with a fatal hit and run in Albert Lea just days before Christmas has pleaded guilty.

Entering a plea Friday to a charge of criminal vehicular homicide was 52-year-old Leslie Jones of Hartland.

According to the criminal complaint in the case, 66-year-old Jolene Klein was attempting to cross Main Street in Albert Lea the evening of December 16th when she was struck by a pickup truck driven by Jones. He drove away but was arrested at an Albert Lea motel the following morning.

The complaint states that video from a security camera shows Jones parking his truck near the site of the incident. He was still at the scene when police arrived and attempted to administer first aid to the victim.
