One of two Rochester residents arrested last year during a massive investigation into heroin trafficking has worked out a plea agreement with Olmsted County prosecutors.

30-year-old Martinez Williams admitted to a pair of second degree drug charges and is scheduled to be sentenced in early March. At the time of their arrests, he and 32-year-old Shonda Gadsden were described by Rochester police as significant heroin dealers.

Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies throughout Minnesota arrested over five dozen people last April in connection with what officials described as the largest heroin-related trafficking operation in Minnesota history.
