Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - After a busy night investigating multiple shooting incidents in northwest Rochester, police were called early today to investigate another report of gunfire outside an apartment complex in northeast Rochester. Police Captain John Sherwin says officers were sent to the Cedar Estates Apartments in the 2600 block of 4th Avenue Northeast around 2:30 am.

They soon learned that a large group of people had gathered in the parking lot and quickly dispersed and left in red and gray cars after the shots were fired. There have been no reports of any injuries, but police did find a spent shell casing in the parking lot.

Captain Sherwin says the man suspected of firing the handgun was seen leaving the site on foot. The description given to investigators was rather vague. The shooter was a taller black male wearing a black shirt and a white hat. At this point, there is nothing to indicate the incident was connected to the chase and gunfight Tuesday night.
