Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Public Works Dept is inviting the public to attend a community meeting Tuesday dealing with the city’s future transportation plans for the downtown.

The open house meeting will be held at the Mayo Civic Center and is scheduled to run from 5 - 7 p.m.

This will be the second of four opportunities for public input during the studies.  Two more sessions will be held, one in September and the other in December

“Broad community perspective on transportation ideas and alternatives is critical to successfully achieving the modal shift from cars to transit, walking, and bicycling that is necessary to realize the DMC Vision,” said Richard Freese, Director of the City of Rochester Public Works Department.

Public Conversation Session materials will be available here the morning of Tuesday, May 30.

Also, join the #DTRochITS conversation LIVE on Facebook (@RochesterMNPublicWorksDepartment).

Tune in during the event to learn more about the Downtown Rochester Integrated Transit Studies.

Online comments will be received through Friday, June 9.
