I'm gonna live to be 100! Here's how.

I have a couple of buddies that I've known since we were all somethin' like twelve or thirteen. We check in with each other from time to time on social media. We used to be closer when we younger. Life, families and work have kept us all pretty busy over the years.

The bad news about geography keeping us apart is that according to science, my buddies aren't going to enhance or lengthen my life span.

Researchers at the University of Toronto have found THE key to a good, long life is having a close family relationship.

So, in other words, I'm going to live to be 100. Just like my Grandma Ruth. She always told me growing up that the FIRST hundred years were the hardest. Everything after that was cake. She lived just passed her 101st birthday. She had a close relationship with all her kids and grand kids.

Sickness and health, good times and bad, ya can't knock close to twenty-seven years my wife and I have enjoyed. The researchers found that even a bad, unhappy marriage prolongs life. The marriage bond gives a sense of security. That comfort extends life.

Even though the kids drive us crazy. they keep us on our toes and at the "top of our game"!

I'll still check in from time to time with my buddies. To let 'em know how Cathy and the kids are and what we're all up to.
