Albert Lea, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man arrested after a fatal hit and run in Albert Lea just before Christmas has been sentenced to 58 months in prison.

52-year-old Leslie Jones of Hartland earlier entered a guilty plea to a criminal vehicular homicide charge for fleeing the scene after the pickup he was driving struck and killed 66-year-old Jolene Klein on December 16th. She was attempting to cross Main Street when she was fatally injured.

Jones was arrested the following morning at an Albert Lea motel. Investigators say a security camera video shows Jones parked his truck near the site of the deadly incident and was still at the scene when police arrived and administered first aid to the victim.
