Hormel Foods Announces Leadership Change

Austin, MN (KROC AM News) - The CEO of Austin-based Hormel Foods will be stepping down at the end of October.  

The company made the announcement Wednesday.

Jeffrey Ettinger joined Hormel in 1989. He has served as chairman of the board, president, and CEO, beginning in November 2006.

James Snee took was named Hormel president last October and will become the next CEO. Ettinger will continue to serve as chairman of the board.

Hormel says under Ettinger’s leadership, the company has grown through strategic acquisitions, organic growth and a continued focus on new product innovation.  

Hormel is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2016.
