It’s EVERYWHERE!   By now you’ve seen all kinds of people, celebrities and regular folks, take part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.  But how did this phenomenon start?

ALS is also known as Lou Gerhig’s Disease after the great Yankee slugger was diagnosed 75 years ago at the Mayo Clinic here in Rochester.   Ironically it was another baseball player who inspired the Ice Bucket Challenge, which has raised over 15 million dollars in the past couple of weeks for the cause.   Pete Frades, a Boston College outfielder, contracted ALS and continues the fight today.
