Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A teenager from Iowa was killed Thursday in a traffic wreck near Sleepy Eye in southwest Minnesota.

The State Patrol says the teen was a passenger in a car that apparently ran a stop sign at a rural intersection around 5 p.m.

The victim was identified as 14 year old Daisy Rodriguez of New Hampton, Iowa who died at the scene. The Patrol says the car she was in was driven by 22 year old Maria Rodriguez-Becerra, also from New Hampton, Iowa. She suffered serious injuries after colliding with another car. Another passenger in her car - 17 year old Yesenia Rodriguez of New Hampton, Iowa -  suffered non-life threatening injuries, as did the other driver.

The State Patrol did not specify the relationship of the Iowa victims, other than to say they are relatives.

The teen who died was the only one not wearing a seatbelt.
