Relax, I'm not talking about myself here...I just had to get that out of the way before your mind went to, "UGH, of course, Val is talking about a selfie she took. She takes too many selfies!" I'm actually talking about a Rochester woman that I had the pleasure of meeting in person (finally!) last night.

Her name is Jeanine Gangeness. Some of you know her as an awesome cheerleader for Winona State University locally. She does a lot for campus! I knew/know her as a woman who pops up on my Facebook feed once in a while looking amazing and living her best life and enjoying Rochester's best social events. She enjoys taking selfies just like I do, so I wasn't surprised when we both had the idea to take one together last night at a block party featuring Townsquare Media (us! woo hoo!), The Rochester Chamber Of Commerce, Premier Bank, and Pasquale's Neighborhood Pizzeria.

You might be asking if my famous selfie stick was required. It wasn't! Jeanine has the process DOWN!!

I can't thank all who attended our party enough for enjoying some pizza, games, and drinks with us. Some of you even took a moment to thank me for sharing my mental health journey recently. I'm going to continue sharing that because I want to normalize the conversation. It means the world to me that Rochester is receptive to that!

Thanks for a fun night Rochester!
