I'm thankful my wife, Julie, is a thrifty gal.  Here are some absurd stats from a new survey on women and shoe shopping.  This was a study done in Europe, so I'm not sure their American women counterparts would be putting up numbers like these.  From Daily Mail,

The average woman buys 17 pairs of shoes per year.

She spends $1,032 on those shoes, or approximately $61 per pair.

Over the course of about 50 adult years of shoe shopping, that's $51,600 on shoes.

The average woman never even wears about one out of every four pairs of shoes she buys because they're too uncomfortable.

Only 7% of women say high heels are comfortable.
