The Rochester Mini Library program is building mini libraries, small mailbox-like structures installed in the front yards of homes or businesses that are filled with free books that people can borrow.  But they need your help.

Join them at Libraries and Libations, a mixology event featuring craft cocktails, to raise funds for the Rochester Mini Library program.  Libraries and Libations will be held at the Doubletree Rochester on Friday, April 10 from 4:30 – 7:30 PM.  Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at www.rochesterminilibrary.org.

A mini library is a free standing structure placed on a homeowner’s property. The homeowner serves as a host for the library making sure it’s stocked with a variety of books. People in the neighborhood are then encouraged to pick up a book to read or bring a book to share. Studies prove that providing children with barrier-free access to books is critical to encouraging good reading habits.

Thank you for supporting youth literacy in Rochester.
