6-year-old Chayce Klinger of Rochester will represent the March of Dimes by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at Target Field when the Minnesota Twins take on the Kansas City Royals Sunday, August 17.

Chayce won the opportunity to throw out the first pitch by raising money for annual March for Babies which was held April 26 in Rochester. March for Babies, the March of Dimes largest fundraiser, helps fund lifesaving research and educational programs aimed at helping moms have healthy babies.

Chayce, along with his parents Paul and Heather, are actively involved with the March of Dimes.  For the Klinger family, the mission of the March of Dimes is very personal. They suffered the loss of Chayce’s older sister due to stillbirth and his older brother due to premature birth.

Chayce attends Bonner Elementary School in Stewartville, Minnesota. He loves cheering on the Vikings and the Twins. His favorite player is Joe Mauer.

Chayce will be joined by 450 additional March of Dimes supporters at the Twins game. The group will march around the field in a parade prior to the 1:10 pm start time.
