Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A long time Olmsted County judge is retiring.

The Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection today announced it has launched the process to identify finalists to recommend for succeeding Judge Deborah Jacobson. The former assistant Olmsted County Attorney was appointed to the bench by former Governor Arne Carlson in 1993.

The commission will be accepting applications for the position through July 17th. The candidate interviews are scheduled for August 2nd, which would be followed by the selection of finalists to be interviewed and considered by Governor Mark Dayton.
